Newly Diagnosed

One works hard only to anxiously await for retirement and BANG! I just go diagnosed with RA.  Not angry just have to play the hand one is dealt with but trying to adjust.  I already eat healthy having given up gluten 3 years ago and my exercise includes walking my dog and gentle stretching exercises.  But what has now just kicked my butt is the methotrexate.  Second day from my first dose and wasn't expecting the side effects.  My most unpleasant one is a headache and nausea.  I saw someone suggested ginger and I have a root in my frig that I am going to nibble on a piece.
I am looking for someone who is also on methotrexate who can give me hope that my body will build a tolerance to the drug. Pay back I guess for being so active in my youth.  If I knew then what I know now my mountain hiking may have been satisfied with a 3000ft elevation.  UGH!
