New York city trip
My family and I spent a week in New York city,
it was a lot of fun and it all went well. I am glad
we went there because I gained an understanding
of why as the T-shirt goes," I love New York city" and
why many people would agree to this and visit there.
It is huge and exciting with many interesting things to
see and do. My favourite parts was central park and all
the historic, perserved buildings in New York city.
Central Park goes on forever and there are many diverse,
beautiful uses for it. From runners and joggers, to a variety
of sports play, playgrounds, puppet shows etc....We spent a whole day
there and still did not see it all. Some of the historical buildings
have been in New York from it's beginnings and many are being
restored to their original beauty.
We stayed at a simple hotel in the upper west side, it was a quiet
refuge for us when we were all tired out from sightseeing. The best
thing about the trip was spending 24/7 with my family we connected
and hung out together even though we had our share of fights and
disagreements. I am happy we did this trip because I have very few memories
of my family doing this when I was a child, only a day or two hear and there.
For the past week we have been hanging out catching up on our sleep and
I have been tackling some of the clutter around here. The boys are growing
up fast and I have so many memories attached to items they used to use
even though they can care less. Surely but slowly I am letting them go
through good will and recycling. Wish me luck, big hugs to all, Ida.
