I'm so sorry Rick, this will be the 1st time in 27 years I won't be able to kiss the one I love at the stroke of midnight, I think I will just skip 12/31 - 1/1 and begin again on 1/2/18. I hope you manage to get over the hump and begin to heal in 2018.
I agree. Skipping today and tomorrow. And I feel awful, like I’m leaving him behind in the old year as I transition to the new, even though I know he will continue to be with me through time. Just me and our dog with a bottle of vodka and pineapple juice. I plan to be asleep at midnight.
