new updates, on my dad's condition. he's home. very upsetting night. we're keeping strong

Hi angel friends, good morning. just wanted to begin with a very special thank you, for your loving care, prayers, and well wishes for my dad (Charles). we all had a very rough night. my mom and Alyssa went with my dad to the hospital last night, late to get his injuries checked. he had a CT scan, thankfully no brain bleed, and no concussion, thankfully. he does though have multiple fractures in his face (left side), his cheek, his nose is broken, and his neck is sore. Alyssa brought my mom and dad home last night, we all got to bed fairly late, around 1:30am. it was a very upsetting, frazzling and crazy night. we're all rallying around my dad, with love, care, and support. we still can't believe, what happened. my dad's been delivering for dominos (and also for papa ginos in the past), for many years, and never had any incidents. he's been to everywhere in our city too. my dad told us, he was delivering to a place, on East main street, here in norwich. he was backing out of that driveway, and drove a bit into the other driveway across the road (#491 East Main Street). the roads are narrow over there, and it was dark outside. my dad said, these guys approached his car, and began to pound on the car. my dad got out of the car he said, to check if they damaged his car, and that's when he was attacked, by 4 of the guys (very sissy of them), 4 guys, attacking an older guy who was just making a delivery. my dad was somehow able to get out of that situation, and drove back to dominos. when word go out, so many emotions, overcame all of us, very sad, upset, angry. my mom said, Jenn had to physically restrain Mike from going down there to East main street, and even took the jeep, and came here, so Mike couldn't go down there with the jeep. he was very angered, by what happend to his father inlaw. my brother Charlie was very upset too. the norwich police, came to the hospital (backus), and talked with my mom, Alyssa, and went in to talk with my dad. the police went to #491 East main street, confronted these biker guys (sissy's is what these guys there are), and one of them said, my dad had driven over his foot, and my dad said later, that's not true. the polce said, if my dad pressed charges, these guys could press charges too, so it became a "he said, he said", which is rediculous!!! none of these sissy boy bikers who assaulted my dad, went to the hospital, none of them, and my dad was in the hospital, with fractures, getting a CT scan, and the police didn't do anything about that? it seems messed up, and makes us more disheartened, angry, and upset.

we're rallying around my dad, and cooler heads in this situation, have to prevail. it's just very  upsetting, the whole incident. domino's manager Mark, filed  a incident report, about what happened. my brother Bobby, is very upset, he's coming down here today with family. just a really messed up,  unbelievable night. we did look into this #491, East Main Street, it's a yellow house, on google maps, with 2 apartments, these guys (or sissy's, and their friends who were hanging out there), their names are, Peter Gifford, with a (860) 428-1713 number, and Richard W. Sullivan, with a (860) 367-2315 number. a google search shows they live there, and either it was them, or their sissy boy biker friends, and we call them sissy's, because 4 of them, and many others, ganging around my dad, who is elderly, and beating him up. there's lots of words that can be used to describe these scum's. i am sure my sister Jenn, will give them a piece of her mind, especially if they have any facebook pages,  or these numbers we found. these scum bags deserve to be in jail. a bunch of info about the 2 people who live at this address at these 2 links.

we're all very emotional about this incident, and are just thankful my dad's home, and is gonna recover. my mom doesn't like him delivering late, especially in the city, where some areas are bad, and not places to be around, especially during the late night's.

We're all on  low sleep, it's still early morning here, i woke up around 5:15am. my mom was up around the same time. we're all gonna be a bit low energy today, but are hanging in there. it's unfortunate, when incidents like last night happen. we're very thankful, and blessed with your wonderful friendships, and all of your comforting care, and support. Holly was up late last night with us all, she did so well, and was hanging out with Taylynn in the living room. we'll be home today, and just gonna continue to be there for my dad, for eachother, and for you all,  our dear angel friends. You all are family to us, and have been there for us, over the years, so many times when we've needed you all. we're extremely grateful, and appreciative. <3 thank you all,  our dear angel friends. i'm here, and gonna be on ds today, also gonna go out to put some treats outside for our nature friends. may lay down a bit earlier tonight,to catch up on some sleep. the latest update though, is my dad's home, he's gonna recover, and we all will make it through this. big group comforting friendship hug, -never lose hope. we love you all, and hope everyone's sunday is a peaceful one. i'll definitely be writing an evening journal too, and gonna take a few days, or so, to really get back  into a peaceful focused mindset, of my normal writings. so many emotions right now, for us all here, but once our emotions settle, things will get back to normal. Thank you all again, our dear angel friends. <3 We love you! :)

Hi Chris and Holly So very sorry that this had to happen to your dad. Prayers go up for him for a speedy recovery. It is so bad when a bunch of thugs have nothing better to do than to attack an old man. Unfortunately that is what our country is coming to. You can't trust anyone anymore. Hope you have a peaceful day and pray that your dad is able to get some much needed rest. Hugs John and Debbie

Glad to hear that your dad is home, resting, and recovering. What a terrible experience for him and for all of you! So the police officers in your town refused to arrest any of the guys who beat up your dad? Many cases are "he said, she said" -- domestic violence cases are the first examples that come to mind -- and police officers have to make a judgment call based on the evidence. So, in your dad's case, we have elderly man with a broken nose and cheekbone who went to the hospital versus young men with no injuries who didn't go to the hospital...and the police chose to do nothing? As Denny said when I told him, "that's messed up." Typically, if there is probable cause that a crime has been committed, police officers will make an arrest. Probable cause doesn't require absolute certainty. Further interrogation or investigation would determine who is more credible, and then the charging decision would be made. It's surprising that an arrest wasn't made in this situation, given the evidence strongly favors your dad.

I'd encourage you and your family to be cautious about posting names/phone #s/addresses on Facebook, especially if you can't be 100% certain that these guys are the ones who hurt your dad. You and your family could be sued for defamation of character, if it turned out these weren't the thugs who beat him up (truth is a defense to a libel suit). Sadly, Google is very unreliable about who lives where, and how awful it would be if the names you've listed were people unrelated to the incident. I'd encourage you/your family to consider following up with the police again. I agree with you that cooler heads must prevail, and certainly taking matters into your own hands wouldn't be wise. But, it's not OK that these guys are free to walk the streets and do this to someone else.

I hope today is a more peaceful day and you are able to catch up on your rest. We're praying for you all! Lots of love and hugs.

Thank you angel friends, we appreciate you all, very much, and are very thankful, for your comforting support, well wishes, prayers, and for being here for us
my dad is up this morning. he and my mom, are going to call their lawyer here in norwich tomorrow, to see what his options are, especially for personal injury. it's extremely messed up, that the police didn't arrest anyone at that place. we're disappointed, they didn't make an arrest, and even said, that these thug sissy boys could have pressed charges against my dad. the whole situation is very messed up. it seems like there's no justice, for those are wronged, and that's very disheartening. the boss of dominos is filing a report, and also Jenn and us all, encouraging my dad to contact his lawyer. it's very upsetting, we are shocked the police didn't arrest these thugs. we see that happen far too often here, in our city, where there's shootings, muggings, and it seems to be pushed under the rug, or not investigated more. a house down the road, was shot at, 8 times, 8 times!!! and the cops didn't have any follow ups or information about it, that's really screw-ball. Holly and i along with Jenn, and everyone are encouraging my dad, and mom to contact their lawyer, they are going too, monday. i will definitely keep everyone posted, and updated,. we're all sick to our stomachs, and we expect more to be done in the law, about this incident, and other incidents.
thank you all for being here for us. after last night, and the police doing nothing, we have absolutely no respect, and no faith in the police/law force here, due to nothing being done. our hearts are hurting, because we don't want these thugs doing this to anyone else. we believe it's a biker gang, who may have ties to infamous biker gangs. we're just very disheartened, by the incident, and what happened to my dad. my mom and dad, may follow up with the police again, as this matter is far from over, in our hearts, due to the injustice of what happened, and us wanting the law, and police to do what's right, by arresting this punk thugs, absolute sissy's, from what they did to my dad.

Thank you Brooke, i believe the hospital, and police, took some pics of my dad's injuries, and they are going to contact their lawyer, here, Mr. Sayot (spelling), he's been their lawyer since the 1980's.his lawyer may take pics
we all want my dad and mom, to re-report this to the police, and now with the hospital record of last night's incident, it's more on my dad's side, that will help with his side of the case. the police here have really let us down, not making any arrests, even with the biker thugs breaking protocol of no more than 10 people per gathering, the people said nothing. to us ,they are a bunch of duh duh's, we feel like they totally let us down, with making no arrests.
thank you for the tip Brooke :)big comforting hugs
