New to this, please help me

My son is 21 and was recentaly arrested by the feds. They found all ages of porn. He passed the FBI lie dector test that he had no intent to touch or contact anyone, and he didn't . They are throwing the book at him. We have two attorneys on the case, but they are dragging their feet ( feds). We are so blown away. Didn't see this coming. He had the world all lined up and now it is going to be shit on that registry. It was in the news and on facebook so comments like he needs to kill himself are devasting. The indictment hasn't been given yet, but he is jail. Never in trouble, well liked... etc.. you know the story. I am seeing a counsler as well as he is in jail (our choice and person not thiers. I guess I wanted to know how to clean my house, how to tell my son most his friends left him, and how his life on the outside isn't going to be good.
