I have been married for 14 years. During our 14 years of marriage my husband has viewed a lot of porn and has masturbated to it. I have caught him several times throughout our marriage and have asked him to stop. He has hidden it in files on our computer, made cd's, watched it online, had magazines hidden upstairs. He uses excuses like everyone looks at it, some wives watch it with their husbands, and blames me because of lack of sex in our marriage. This issue was addressed with one marriage therapist and he sort of dismissed it as men being visual and it was not that unusual. So I just had to accept it. A few years ago I looked at his phone, not something I usually do but I happened to pick it up. There was a picture of a naked woman that he works with on his phone. He claimed his friend and sent it to him. There was also conversation back and forth between his friend where his married friend bragged on cheating and have chances to cheat and my husband bragging about almost cheating when we were engaged. Bragging about having the chance to sleep with his brother's girlfriends sister. We again sought out marriage therapy. Then about 4 months ago I got on our home computer. My husband had left of his email, an account I was not even aware that he had. I noticed it was a conversation with a woman he works with. After ready two lines I realized that he was having an affair with her. The emails were very descriptive, pornographic in nature. I began shaking and my husband walked into the room. All he said is I will leave when he realized I had read it. No apology and no answer when I asked him if he was cheating. He left and did not make any contact with me that night. Since then he has started seeing a therapist specializing in sexual addiction. He has moved out and we have been separated the last four months. My husband says he has changed that he is a different person now. That he has already had his relapses. He is completely focused on getting his family back. But he still blames me for the problems in our marriage and for him using porn and going outside of our marriage because I wasn't giving him what he needed. I question him about being "cured" in four short months. Seams like he gets more support then I do at times, like I am the one who did something wrong. At this point I think that we are probably going to get divorced. I do not trust him at all and he still works with the woman he had the affair with. I guess I am hoping for some advice, support from others who understand. I had no idea this was happening so when I discovered that he had an actual physical affair and shared with this other woman information about our sex life and therapy sessions it sort of blew my world apart. His affair lasted an entire year. He claims it was not physical the entire time but I found 100's of emails that were like reading a porn script and they were physical at times.
