New Shorts, day 1
So I wore the new shorts I got yesterday and they are loose on me! I think I could have gotten them in a size 18 I think. That's just crazy to me. I know my legs are a size 16... my mom gave me a bunch of her old clothes that were size 16 and I grabbed her khaki pants by accident and tried to put them on. I got them up my legs, but I couldn't button them (or get anywhere close). I finally figured out I got the wrong pants, but it was cool to know I'm shrinking. I haven't taken my measurements in months. I know I'm gaining weight, but I guess it's just water and muscle.
We got our car washed today, finally. It took them about 1.5 hours to get all the dirt off. We didn't know that it was going to take that long.. We had a couple options- wait at the car wash, walk to McDonald's or go to this Mexican place nearby. Neither of us were hungry so we didn't go to eat. I'm glad, since if we had gone to a place with food we would have eaten when we didn't need to. We went to a craft store nearby and picked up some Velcro. Then we just sat and watched them wash our car. Good choices were made today.
I had a small breakdown today. Geo and I have been watching this series called "Welcome to the NHK" which is about a guy with no job, no friends, and lives alone and has agoraphobia. This episode had a bunch of people getting together to kill themselves and it's normally a very funny show so I wasn't expecting that. All the talk of suicide got to me and I started crying (my father killed himself when I was 13, and then I spent years in college just wanting to die, but didn't have the actual means to go through with it). Good did come out of it.. I have a plan for my life now. I need to get my act together, take a couple classes at the local community college and then get a second Bachelors in Psychology. Then I'm going to get my Master's and qualify for research. I have to start out small, but it's nice to have a plan again.

Great choice to go to a craft store! What a great plan to get back to school and earn that degree! SUPER!
I think that is great that you are making so many positive changes and good choices in your life. Happy happy 2016 with lots of love and blessings to you and your family!
like that you didn\'t go to McDonald\'s Good choice. Craft stores are fun. .You know what figure out what you would have spent at Mc\'D\'s and put it in a jar. do that every time (then you \'ll see your clothes shrink and have money for something special)
I like your plan of going back to school.
sizes on clothing is a mind blower. i was skinny most of my life. size 4 or size 6, always (in good clothes, not juniors). then it went to medium and then let\'s not say. i wear 18w or 20 now. wth? i couldn\'t believe it. i look at clothing that is a 10 and i still feel like, that should not only fit me, but it should be roomy and big on me. what year do i think it is? lol. i\'ve been seriously overweight for 13 years now. grrrr. moved to north florida and promptly gained 55 pounds. now its even more weight because of the statins, was horrified to discover that.
life is always best when there is \"anything\" to look forward to. hope it all works out. xxoo
