New RE appt
We met with our new RE today and things went really well! He was impressed with how much info I already knew, thanks in large part to you amazing ladies on here!! It sounds like before we jump straight in to an IVF cycle, he would like to do surgery to check out the "plumbing" since my history isn't the best in regards to my tubes. Obviously if there was anything that needs to be fixed or treated he would do so at that time. This way we have a clear idea of what is going on with me before we hand over all of our savings for IVF.
I'm actually really excited for this. I am not thrilled to have "surgery" but I have been dying to know what the heck is going on with me. I went and had some blood work done as soon as the appointment was over, 9 vials of blood!! And once AF starts I will go in on day 3 and have more blood work & an ultrasound done. Once all of that comes back we will schedule the surgery!
I'm hoping that if everything looks good with the surgery that we would be able to start our first IVF cycle in August at the latest, honestly I don't even care when we can start just as long as we can!!

Lindsey I am so excited for you and to have a doctor that wants to investigate more and get some answers for you. And gezzz 9 vials, hope you got some good cookies out of that! ;-)
Thanks Nikki! And yes, I am excited that that was his first suggestion! Especially since it will be covered by our insurance. I am just looking forward to getting more answers!

Sounds like we are on similar paths right now. I\'m scheduled for lap in July before moving onto another IVF cycle. Good luck to you! I hope you get the answers with all of the tests!
