New Personal Rosacea Trigger Discovered
It's been weeks (probably a good 5 or 6) since I've been exposed to a rosacea trigger I didn't know I had, but last night I added ginger to a recipe to perk it up a bit and BAM!!!... 2 hours later, serious reaction starting. It was my only new food/environmental change, so I'm pretty damn certain I just can't tolerate ginger for whatever reason. Good news is that I've never been super into using ginger in recipes, so it won't be much of a personal loss to see it go. I'm an oregano lover though, and I'm happy that herb works well for me.
Needless to say, however, last night was a rough one... stinging, burning, redness, blotchiness, itching, anxiety, and poor sleep quality. I also had the strangest feeling that my heart was pounding and also fluttering at times in my chest. That totally freaked me out.
This morning, things seem calmer. Right now, the majority of the redness, stinging, burning, and itching have gone away. There's some residual surface stuff, but I'll just make sure I medicate good and take today at a slower pace to allow my body more healing time. My heartbeat seems much closer to normal this morning, as well, but I'm kind of exhausted from the entire experience. I still have some low grade anxiety rolling around within me. That will probably take a couple of days to dissipate. It usually does after I get amped up from an experience.
My husband was super supportive last night and sat up with me, talking and trying to comfort me while we waited for the worst of the symptoms to ease prior to bed. He also got up with me twice in the middle of the night, due to the heart flutters, and never complained once. He's my rock right now while my health is wonky and my anxiety a perpetual roller coaster. I seriously don't know what I'd do without such terrific love and support.

I am glad your feeling a little better and that your husband Is so supportive . This is so hard to deal with alone . Having some one with you helps tremendously.
Indeed it does. I know not everyone has that, and so I always do my best to remain grateful and try to pay it forward to others, if I can. Hope you are having a good start to your day. :)
