New Nursing Home

I went on the Medicare.gov website, which rates nursing homes (among other things) and narrowed my search by ratings for the nursing homes, then called the Archdiosis of Providence for nursing homes which are connected to the Catholic church, and came up with a first string and second string list for the hospital to send my mother for her recovery.
They were able to get her into my first choice - the highest rated nursing home in the area.
She has had her surgery, and arrived at the nursing home today. I met with the admissions person, a lovely young woman, and since being home, had a call from the occupational therapist.
I have high hopes that my mother will be able to come home and that everything will be fine. This place says that they will monitor her condition (which the other place did not) and respond to her within 8 minutes (which the other place didn't) and help her to recover enough to come home.
If she comes home, it is because they feel that she is well enough to do so, not because they don't want to care for her any more or they don't get enough money for her care.
My younger brother isn't looking too good, but he came and signed the papers for her. My older brother has been appraised of the situation, but has only asked for favors for himself, so whatever.
I, myself, am okay for now.
