New job, less stress

So I started a new job 2 weeks ago. I know, not good timing whenclose to starting another IVF cycle. I hated my job, it was several things- bad company, long hours, needy employees, etc.  So I took a step back, I'm working for a small company with less responsibilities, very consistent hours, etc. I love it so far! So next I was super stressed to talk to my new boss so soon since we are looking to do this next month. I don't want to be looked at differently or for her to regret hiring me because I wasn't upfront.  So I went to her today- OMG! She has done IVF! :) she said "hunny, you do whatever you need to do. We have got plenty of coverage here. Its already so stressful I don't want you to worry about it".  WHAT?!? What boss says that?! I thanked hersoup and down. I am sooooo relieved. I am determined to make this a much less stressful IVF cycle and this will help so much. Besides worrying about the pregancy, balancing my job less the largest stress last time. I am writing my boss a thank you note tonight. I am so grateful for my DH supporting me (I took a pay cut which is a hard decision when trying to finance IF) and now a supportive boss. It only makes me want to give that much more of myself to this position and company.

How fantastic is that!!!! I am so freakin excited for you. I am sure taking a new job and a pay cut was a lot of stress, especially not knowing how they would react to your time off. And now this! Its amazing how things can work out and I am so glad you will have WAY less stress with this IVF.

Well I had a job interview back in January for told the lady in the second interview what I would be doing. I wasn\'t hired. So this time, I was talking to my mom and she said- if they were going to close their business they wouldn\'t tell you in the interview. They are going to do what\'s way for them, you do what\'s best for you. Sorry you don\'t have have that CS27 but your plan sounds good!

I am a teacher and was contemplating changing schools. I thought I needed to stay at my current school but a little piece of me said just go to the interview. I even tried to sabotage myself and said that I was going through the infertility process and was probably going to have many appointments and then if I got pregnant I would be missing 6 weeks. Most principals don\'t want teachers in testing areas with issues. Not only was HE ok with it, the math department chair told me she went through IVF to have her son who is now 16. I was blown away. Needless to say I took the job and am super excited! Congrats to you as well! You will be in my prayers.
