New Dose
Well, I finally got tired of waiting and called my RE's office. The nurse completely forgot to go ask my RE about the increase, so she did so while I was on the phone. She's calling in my new prescription for the Letrozole and for the progesterone too (since I didn't have any repeats and I ran out of the progesterone already). I'm going up from 5mg of Letrozole to 7.5mg.
Today is CD31, and still no AF. I'm not getting my hopes up that somehow I did ovulate and the blood tests just didn't show it. This is because I usually have a 62 to 72 day cycle. Still, I have to do a HPT before I start the pills, as always. I wish they weren't so damned expensive though! I mean the local dollar store sells some for $1.25, but I'm not so sure they're accurate.
When I go to pick up my prescriptions I'll have to see if the pharmacy I go to has any specials on the HPTs this week. If not, I hope either the dollar store ones are accurate or I can order some online for cheaper than picking them up in the store.
I thought about doing OPKs as well, but with the fact that I don't have a regular cycle, I'm unsure as to whether it's worth wasting my money on them.
Oh well, I'll get my prescriptions later today and will start the progesterone pills tomorrow. I hope this round works!

It\'s my understanding that dollar store HPTs are just as effective as the brand name ones. You might want to check with your doctor just to make sure, but I think you\'ll be just fine. I\'m pretty sure the dollar store also sells OPKs! Big money saver :)
Well, I have an ex-friend who used a dollar store HPT (it correctly showed positive), so I guess they are accurate. I\'m usually wary of things like HPTs, OPKs and condoms, etc being sold at the dollar store. I\'ll probably take my chances, pick up a few HPT and OPKs if the location next to my pharmacy has any in stock. I don\'t have a whole lot of money, so cheaper is better for me.
I bought my last pack of OPK\'s from Target, they were actually cheaper than the dollar store. You get 20 of them for about $15 whereas you get one for a dollar at the dollar store. The prob with the Target ones is they are supposedly only good for 30 days after you open the package. I figure I can get two cycles out them since my cycle is 26-28 days. If you have a longer cycle then you might get only one month\'s worth but if you have a longer cycle you\'ll need more of them and might use all 20 at once. Just food for thought.
Look at Amazon.com I just bought 40 LH (ovulation) strip tests and 10 HCG (pregnancy) stip tests for a total of $23 including shipping. Its the best prices I have found and I beleive there are larger combo packs than that.
Best thing is they are individually wrapped. I know when I have bought LH strips before they come in one packed so once you open them they are only good for a set number of days. But not when you order them through amazon.
There\'s a Target due to open here this summer, so it\'s not an option for me right now. I\'ll keep it in mind.
LMWT, I\'ll take a look at Amazon.com! It may be a bit more for me since I\'m shipping to Canada, but I\'ll look at Amazon.ca (not as great deals many times though) too! Thanks for the info ladies!
Well, nix the Amazon.ca idea, they don\'t even sell beauty products let alone LH and HCG tests.
I eventually found the tests on Amazon.ca (they\'ve got everything so disorganized), but I ordered them from Amazon.com because even with the conversion from US to Canadian dollars, it\'s $10 cheaper!
