new diagnosis
Hi everybody,I had a biopsy two days ago, and they already found cancer from my uterus. The doctor told me he was going to do a total hysterectomy, including the fallopian tubes and lymph nodes or glands?. I was surprised, as I did not know that was a part of a hysterectormy. I am willing to do whatever it takes to get through this, and am working very hard on keeping my spirits positive and lighthearted.I know my mom has something that has been going on for three years, but unlike me, she will not do anything about it. I'm pretty sure it is uterine cancer from what I've been told of her symptoms by several doctors. I just want to get better and help others, including my children and other women. I am open to any thoughts as I find that the more I know about this, the more it helps me.Thank you so much for listening!

Hi
I was diagnosed with uterine cancer at age 52 in June 2007. One month later I had a total hysterectomy followed by radtiotherapy. My last treatment was December 2007. It is so devastating to recieve this news, but please stay positive. The recovery process includes being optimistic! If you have any questions please message me. I am doing well and am here if you need to talk!
I was surprised too by how far reaching my radical hysterectomy went. Diagnosed December 11th with uterine cancer.. I am 15 days post surgery. I am like you... I will do whatever it takes. I have an appointment on February 17th to discover my pathology... the waiting is hard. The after surgery care (radiation, chemo) will be based on this report.
Hang in there....
Blessings
Dodi
