New day,new meds,new hope?
Good morning journal, the time is 6:36am,I am awake with coffee in hand and ready to begin.I have lots of thoughts to ponder this morning,I slept very fitfully, and was restless and disturbed for most of the night, until finally,I gave up and came here.My back is still excruciatingly painful, and my breathing is very labored,I have taken several puffs of my rescue inhaler, but I am still struggling a bit,I just have to stay calm and let the magic powder do it's work.Yesterday,I kept my appointment with John my cognitive behavioral therapist,I was gratified to find a receptionist on duty,no doubt returned from the longest lunch break in history,if my last visit was any guide, and she kindly gave me directions to where I needed to go.Over the next hour and a bit,we discussed my mood changes,my voices,my never ending tiredness etc, etc;then John said,"I think you have psychotic depression, and I'm also concerned that you may be bipolar". I asked what we could do to enable me to deal with it,and he wrote a letter for my doctor recommending that I begin taking an anti psychotic drug called quetiapine, also known as seroquel, hopefully,it will help control my mood, and may help with the voices.Anyhow,I see my doctor at 11:40am tomorrow,it's his call,I have type 2 diabetes and that is apparently a concern. Now Journal,I suddenly feel quite ill,i will go for now as I think I need to lie down, till tomorrow then, peace be with us.

I\'m so sorry you\'re feeling ill today, but so glad there is a light at the end of the tunnel from the depression and voices. Even with the Type 2 diabetes (which I also have), there should still be a way to deal with the bipolar and depression issues. My prayers, as always, are with you. Love and hugs!
Scott, clearly the new medications is working for you, I am glad you had the mental toughness to stay with it and see and talk to John about your ongoing issues. I am grateful that John was able to put a defined label on that which might be the root causes. It gives you a target to shoot at. Take care, Bill
