New Countdown: 14 Days
Just a quick update for today, nothing much to report on my end.
First up, and update on my Dad:
He went home on Friday! I'm so relieved he's out of the hospital and doing well. He needs oxygen, but that's because he's got pneumonia and his lungs took a hard hit because of the septicemia. He has decided to call it quits on all treatment other than palliative care, so I'm now working on preparing myself to say goodbye to him. He's in fairly good health now, so it's hard to imagine that this could be his last year. His birthday is in March, so I'm going to definitely make sure he has a blast!
Next up, school:
I'm on reading week this week. Thank God! One of the classmates that I thought was my friend turned on me. She pulled me aside and told me to stop 'stealing everyone's thunder' and making everything about me. Hypocritical bitch has been making everything about her since day one and this all came about because I said something to another classmate that inadvertently "stole thunder" from my so-called friend. Oh well, I don't need her as a friend, I'm just tired of being the one who gets shit on because I'm 'different' and not as outspoken or bold as they are. April 25th (last day of this year) can't come soon enough.
And finally, IF/Doctor stuff:
I go see my GP in 14 days. I'm going to ask him to put me on metformin while I research REs in Ottawa. I got a letter/packet from the bariatric clinic that my GP referred me to so I could use their dietician services to assist in my weight loss. They've scheduled me for an orientation class, but I have to reschedule because it's during my placement and I can't go on the day they chose. But, things are starting to move forward.
I'm using my reading week to get things done around the house and to work on all my 'side' projects, researching PCOS and REs and working on a list of questions that I need/want answered about my IF. I'm also organizing my computer room/office and trying to get ahead on school work. It seems like a lot, but it's not that much really. I still have 8 days til I go back to school and not everything has to get done by then, I'm just using all my spare time now to get as much of it done as I can.
And that's it for this journal. I hope all of you ladies are having a wonderful Monday! :)

I\'m so sorry about your dad. It seems like you both have pretty good attitudes though, and I hope that the rest of the time you share with him is beautiful and memorable.
