New Can of Worms
A new doc has opened a new can of worms. Dr. B (God he looks like he should still be wearing short pants.) the surgeon where I took the leg pressure test is more concerned about the clogged arteries in the leg than the wound care doc. He looked at the leg and was shocked that the w.c. doc said the leg was healed. I thought so too. But then he went on examining the leg saying there's seems to be a venous problem also. Maybe the valves are weak allowing the blood to flow back down the leg. Then he saw the scar on the inside of the leg and I told him I'd had bypass surgery several years ago,,almost 20. He asked when was the last time I'd had the bypass checked and I told him I hadn't.(didn't think I needed to) I was wrong. So, they're going to schedule me for 2 hours of ultrasound that will include the heart. He said the arteries can be fixed with a lazer and if the bypass is a problem, it can be fixed with a non-invasive procedure. Hope he's got the money for all that because I don't. Glad I didn't buy those support hose the w.c. doc wanted or get to the lymph people yet. It's going to be interesting.

I wish you the best and I am also happy to hear that you didn\'t buy those support hose. They are not cheap. I like the title of this, New Can of Worms, because it sure does fit. I hate to see the red face though coming from somebody who is so supportive and positive. You deserve happiness and I do admire how great you are with Kit.

I forgot to mention he found a problem with my left carotid artery. They\'ll do and ultrasound of that too.

its amazing how much they can detect with ULTRASOUND nowadays and that NON-INVASIVE procedures exist!
