New beginnings...
Christmas has come and gone and though it was actually very nice, my emotions have been ruining it. So, it's time to move on and start a new beginning!
As much as I love the way my house looks decorated for Christmas, and I normally leave it up until New Year's, I'm actually excited to begin focusing on a COMPLETELY new life!
There was a time when he would tell me my memory was getting worse... and I used to believe him. After all, I grew up with a parent who was REALLY good at suggesting lies were the truth to cover up her own failings. And of course, I married someone who did the same. But now that I'm on my own, I'm discovering that I actually have a VERY good memory (at least after coffee, lol) and that I can stand by the truth, and that I don't need manipulative people to survive.
So my new beginning... first thing I'm taking care of is my health. Today I'm going to be cooking lots of healthy meals (learning in the process) and freezing them so that I have easy-to-grab meals while I'm working during the week. I'm focusing on fitness - planning to get up by 5AM every morning to do cardio and weight training. I'm earning extra cash on Thursday that will be just enough to pay for RACE FEES! Now I'm no speed demon, lol, and usually come in last (5K run, 50 mile mountain bike race), but getting together with a group of people while challenging myself just sounds AWESOME to me!
Let the FUN begin!

I freeze some meals for those nights when it\'s too late or I\'m just too tired to cook. Mostly chili or spaghetti sauce that can make a meal quickly.
I wish I could get up earlier and be comitted to working with my weights. i can\'t seem to commit to that any more. Yes, your goals sound great to me too.
Considering all that you do, Trisha, you most likely don\'t need any additional training. I remember working on a farm.... that in itself is quite the workout!
Once you start registering for those races MAGIC will start happening! Another plus is that you have your social support group lined up surrounding this and you will meet more cool people! Promise. Love it.
