New Baby
I know I haven't been on the site in the last day or so but my daughter had her baby yesterday at 5:15 a.m. A little girl Madeline to join her big sister who is 8. Jim and I always thought that we would just be having one grandchild. I am so torn, holding back the tears knowing that JIm will never hold, see, or spoil this little one. She is so cute and I love her and my family so much. But when does the pain end. I feel like I have to put on this brave front all the time for everyone, but I am dying inside. I know that life goes on, and I am truly trying. It is just so hard, I have never been without Jim since I was 15 yrs. old. I WANT to be happy. I WANT to carry on, it is just soooo hard. I will come on when I have the time, the next few days will be a little hectic. I want you all to know that I carry you in my thoughts and prayers. I have to look for that rainbow. I KNOW it is somewhere..........

I know how you feel and it is normal even if you don\'t think that. A year on May 15th my ex husband took his own life. My son was 6 and my daughter had turn 1 that April. When I watch her playing I think of all the things he is missing. Her first step, going to school graduations, and her wedding, and babies. But what helps me is knowing he is watching over her. So just remember he is wathching over that new baby and will be with always. She will never see him but sometimes she will feel him in her heart. Congrats on the new baby, and always remember show her pictures and tell her all about him.
Congratulations! I will prob never be a g-maw they dont want any . I wish you well my friend , Jim will be with you always, it will take awhile for it to dim . It never leaves. love, norma
You have a new one to love and cherish and maybe that is what God intended.
Congratulations and I so understand what you are going through. I just went through the same thing - my little granddaughter is 4 months old and Ernie will never hold her or play with her. He used to make this goofy little sound that babies just love and she will never hear it. It is so hard and heartbreaking. All we can do is try to carry on and keep that brave front for our families. Good luck and I will keep you in my prayers.
Congratulations Alice, a beautiful little grand-daughter, how lovely. I know this must be really hard for you but try and enjoy this special time. You will be the most amazing grandma and this little girl will be very lucky to have you (as it her big sister)
Congratulation\'s Alice, Grandchildren, the more the merrier is what I say.
I truly understand how you feel about wishing your husband Jim could be here to hold and spoil this grandbaby.
I have a daughter who is not married yet and she & I cry together alot becasue she say\'s her Daddy will not be here to see her children when she has them. She keeps telling me it\'s not fair.
I try to reasure her even though it breaks my heart to know that Jesse will not be here pysically, he will be with her in spirit. He will be there with her when she has her children and he will be holding them.
Jim will be with you always, and you can bet he will be spoiling this new addition to the family from his beautiful home in heaven.
He will make himself known to this little one, don\'t worry about that..
Enjoy you new grandbaby...... Hugs going yur way with love and friendship...Stella
One day at a time.. One moment at a time if you have to. Its always the firsts that are the hardest. Its ok that your sad at times like that. You miss Jim and the things that he can\'t share with you. He will always be with you though.
Enjoy that new baby and keep busy. Time will make things better. Hang in there.

My parents were married 30 years when my dad died suddenly one day at work. He was 48. I was pregnant with my first son when he passed. I had just found out 22 days earlier. I know how lost you must feel, our family felt that pain. My mother felt that pain, and our family suffered greatly for a long time. I\'m so sorry for the loss of your DH. You will be in my prayers. Enjoy your new grandchild, God brought her to you for a reason. To keep you busy and keep a smile on your face.
