New Attidude.

I am more optomistic than I was before. I have started taking the final steps in getting my divorce final today. I think that will give me alot of relief.  Well, it is almost the 2nd anniversary of getting copd. I was afflicted with it in May of 06. Since then I have went down hill drastically. I have not excersised a bit. Of course I never really had an excersise plan or anything. But I sure was able to get around alot more and didn't just sit there, like I do now. I have put on about 30 pounds, which is the worst thing I could have done. I have severe sleep apnea. And I am going to celebrate my 43 birthday in April. I think it is time for a change. I need to take better care of me, and right now! I need to get rid of the junk in my kitchen and eat healthier. I am getting a excersise bike and a treadmill soon. I don't have a clue where I am going to put them, as I live in a mobile home. But I am going to find the room. Oh yea, I am going to use my nebulizer more often because I don't use it enough right now to do any good. Darn it I don't want to die like this, so I have got to do something. Wish me luck!

I like what you are going to do, I think you will find you are going to feel much better. Thank God our muscles have memories huh. I just can\'t stress enough how important exercise is even though I know first hand it can be hard, it is very important. I will be with you all the way on your new quest. Remember a dream becomes a goal, something we work towards never ever lose sight of those dreams and always keep working on the goals even though we may think it should be quicker or easier etc. etc. Steady gets the prize at the right time. God bless you!!

I am with you all the way!! I have had copd for about 8 years. In those eight years my weight has been up and down like a roller coaster. I started out weighing about 120 and now I weigh 203. Big difference huh! I have severe asthma and copd and stay on alot of prednisone. I have been through pulmonary rehab twice. I am on disability and medicare wont pay for it again. I have my own treadmill and have my own excercise program. Everytime I lose about 30 pounds I get sick and go back on prednisone and gain it right back. I was hospitalized 5 times last year. I will start working out with you and try to diet again as well. Lets do it together.

Im right there with you.
Ive gained wieght from my medication supplements (Samuel Adams) Im going to tattoo his name above and below my new friend who always walks in front of me. Stay as active as you are able. Some days I can barely make the steps with a cane, others youd never now there is something wrong with me as I can walk around the block (slowly) without too much trouble.
We are going to move after I graduate, Im hoping the sale of the home will cover my school loans, moving costs and most if not all of the new purchase. Niether she (arthritis) or myself with arthritis and asthma can do this 3 level home any longer. Im hoping to get a waterfront property so even on a bad day I can crawl to the edge of the water and be pulled in by a big fish.
