Never Like The First Time

One interesting contrast...I felt like I was being rushed through the whole thing this 2nd time as opposed to 1st time.
1st surgery...I was directed to a room with a TV and chilled out for a little over an hour before being bought to the pre surgical area.   During that time I changed to the surgical gown and my clothes was put in the locker provided in the room.   I gave my friend my wallet and cell phone.    The nurses and anesthesiologist seemed more friendly and were cracking jokes to make me feel better.
After the surgery I was bought back into the room and then a volunteer came in and did some kind of meditation exercises.   Moments later my colorectal doctor gave me an update.   During that time I ate some graham crackers and juice/water they provided.   Then within 30 minutes I was directed by a nurse to go to the restroom to see if I was able to pee which I was...not being able to squeeze my muscles aside.   I was then discharged and wheeled out.
2nd surgery...I was taken directly to the pre surgical area.   My friend and I were actually more casual about the situation too since we been through it before and the warts weren't nearly as bad.   I changed my clothes in a small locker room and the key to the lock was on a rubber band like holder that was placed on my arm.   I again gave my personal stuff to my dear friend.
The first couple nurses were nice enough but not like the 1st time.   The anesthesiologist was more subdued this time as well.
After the surgery I was ushered back to the pre-surgical area (but in a different section).   I did get the graham crackers and water/juice but they didn't direct me to use the restroom to see if I was able to go freely.   I also didn't get the volunteer meditator.
My clothes were bought back to me and I had to change in the pre-surgical area (curtains drawn).  I was still coming off the general anasthesia so I barely remembered what I was doing and luckily I didn't fall or anything.
My friend was not happy with how I was treated this time vs. last time and thought the nurse removing my bandages was rushing.   She peeled them out without considering my hair on skin.   I did get wheel chaired out though honestly I don't remember much of it since I was coming off the drugs still.
This visit better be cheaper than the last one...that's all I gotta say...*LOL*.
