never ending lowlifes
Yesterday wanted to look something up in a 1970s movie magazine backissue I bought off amazon/ebay around 2006----to find out that the backissue, and about 6 more, were gone, stolen.
Last month, my landlord had a trio fix my living room ceiling damaged by upstairs lowlife idiot who in November didnt care that water was leaking. I stayed in the bedroom with my cats; when everything was done, I found 2 leftover gallons of paint atop my plastic cabinet in living room closet---where my backissue magazines are kept.
Back in 2006, with $ from broken leg, I bought some backissue magazines from my youth, 1960s/70s; stuff that cost 60 cents back then now up to $20.
Some lowlife must have stuffed the magazines down his shirt when he went into the closet to put the paint there. I never worried about MAGAZINES being stolen. Maybe $90 total for such stuff. Kinda pathetic for 54 yr old me to have such stuff----even more pathetic that the possible thief is even older than me!
My subconscious mind: Days before this bunch showed up, I threw away about 100 dvd covers, worried that certain dvds would one day get stolen, so I put them into simple paper sleeves, so any potential crook would make less money from a buyer. And hours before I discovered this theft I looked into a second hand shop in town; had to make a detour in my walk to do so. This same 2nd hand shop bought stolen stuff that lowlife bunch next door stole from cars about 5 year ago. Some sort of premoniton, foreboding, omen, as crazy as that seems, though I was unable to connect the dots in time, once again.

Infuriating!
thanks.
but, more depressing, for me. and typical---wouldnt be a holiday if something didnt go bad for me.
trying to get lemonade out this lemon----hoping it\'ll inspire me to try my best to move to another town.
Hopefully, YOUR holiday is going better.
at one in afternoon right now, my landlord showed up and gave me $100 for the stolen magazines! I tried giving him back $20, and he refused---though he going to the bunch to try to get magazines back.
well that is amazing penn.....I wouldn\'t think he would do anything....
It sounds like you have an understanding and compassionate landlord! That is something to be grateful for. \'Enjoyed your post very much. \'Feel for you!

like some simpsons cartoon joke, my landlord seems to be the cause and cure of some of my troubles.
i keep on throwing away my internet cord, to try to stay off computer; right now plugging in and out of phone cord, to see if landlord calls from whoever took magazines.
now, with $ given me, stolen magazines dont seem like a big deal, with landlord being so nice, inspiring me to get stuff done in last few hours that i was too depressed to do in last few weeks!
Wow Penn! Thats awesome news!!!!!!! Some extra $$ and hopefully your mags back too!!! YIPPEEEEE!!!!
Yes, thank You again TroJanThunder,
up & down as though i\'m bi-polar; i really have to learn not to fall to pieces when something bad happens----though i can only even think of that now cause of my landlord\'s kindness, which is the sort of enormous rarity in my 54 years.
i will have to send my landlord a card thanking them, as well as apologizing for my going nuts.
530; i\'ll plug in the phone again; my landlord probably wont call after 8.
Sounds like a plan!!!!!
my problem is that i have too many plans/worries, and with them leading to dead ends....even have reaccuring, obvious, dreams that end in...dead end, or bridge i cant cross!
thanks again.
and thanks to KittyKai and Billwfriend
Yeah! Me too.
