never been faced with this before

Perhaps I'm over thinking this but I am not sure what to do.  T's psych dr put him on a mood stabilizer that I think is ludicrous.  T's counselor (I talked to him briefly) was making an argument for it.  He is the one, in fact, who recommended this doctor.  All the reading I've done and even speaking to my mother (who had two siblings w/bipolar) makes me even more susceptible of this "possibility" of bipolar.  Although I know he is a risk factor for it - it doesn't mean he has it.  Perhaps if the doctor spent a little more time talking with me or T or even had us fill out the correct paperwork, then MAYBE I would be a bit more receptive.  I am still waiting to hear from the other doctor for a second opinion.  He went on vacation, as did the other doctor.  I don't know if I'll get a second opinion before the appointment and if I don't then I think I'll tell the doctor that I want to wait.  T has been doing well on the Wellbutrin and when I gave him the MS he had a reaction an allergic reaction immeditately and had to leave school.   So - I guess I just came up with a solution - wait.  Sometimes it's good to work it out in writing......
