never a dull moment
Had a difficult time getting T up this morning. He hoped I would call in sick for him for his math class because the class was having a test. I told him that that was his decision not to go but I was NOT calling in for him. I also mentioned that he's walking on thin ice with the school and if he wants them to kick him out then..... He got up. Around lunch time I get a call from the school today. We made it through Monday without a call but Tuesday - he just had to make sure that I am aware that he's in school, I guess. I had to bring up some Tylenol to the school (guess I forgot to fill out the necessary paperwork so that I don't have to be present in order for him to take it). While there - the assistant principal sees me and asks to speak to me. Gosh - nothing like feeling like you're 15 again and you're called into the office for getting into trouble. Not that that ever happened to me but... I am sure if I had been I would have felt like I did today. LOL. Actually, I did have a knot in my stomach but the asst. principal is a great guy. He just wanted to chat over the latest antics of T-Man. Always it's about him not wanting to be where they want him to be. Can't get over how brazen this kid is. No fear. At least he's respectful -doesn't swear at them etc. (he saves it for home). Man - even if he isn't using anymore......some of the after effects haven't left him - which is why this assessment date is still going to happen, I am told. T's caseworker is going to stay a tiny bit longer but not much. It really, really stinks. He's been so supportive and is so sharp - unlike the counselor that comes to our home. T likes him and it's because he just lets T be. The counselor really isn't doing his job..... talks politics and chews the fat. I don't care anymore. T has a counselor we pay him to see. T just announced that he doesn't like him. Yeah....because he's doing his job.....
