Neurontin Helping
I started taking the Neurontin last night to see if it would help with the mood swings. Besides an anxiety attack today I was feeling pretty good. I even did some of my exercises because I wanted to, not because I was angry or anything. I have to see the doctor tomorrow to talk to him about the Neurontin, since it was prescribed to me by my old doctor and I just want to make sure there are no interactions with anything. There shouldn't be, since I've been on all these meds before at the same time, but also the akathesia is getting worse again, so they might have to up my Congentin. When I first started the Congentin I was taking 2mg twice a day, then I stopped the Neurontin and was only taking it once every other day. Then I started taking it every day when I got my prescription refilled, and now I need it twice a day again. I don't like adding in all these meds, but if it gets me stable then who am I to complain?
Mood today was okay... I was awake long enough to determine that, even though I slept most of the day because of the Neurontin. It's almost 9pm and I'm feeling pretty good. I'm not going to put my mood as good because of the anxiety attack and the fact that I slept from 9pm last night to 3pm today. I did wake up at 7am for a while and took my morning dose of the Neurontin and that knocked me out until 3pm. When I was in the hospital it didn't take me long to get used to the Neurontin and I wasn't knocked out by it within a couple of days. I'm hoping the same thing happens again. I adjust to sleeping medicines easily and they don't make me sleep after a short period of time. That's why I have to take the klonopin for sleep, and not every night.
Yesterday was just a bad day. I went for my walk because I was angry, and I walked for about 3 minutes and I wasn't angry anymore. I finished a short version of my walk since I was out already and so I walked for half the distance I normally walk on my short walks. There was a disturbance at the clinic and I watched what was going on from what I could see across the street... just a bunch of fire trucks and police cars and a guy being taken out on a stretcher. I stopped on my walk to try and see what was going on, plus I was tired. It was hot yesterday.
Food today was good... I'm in my calorie range. I weighed yesterday and I'm still at 225.5 pounds, which is disappointing. I was hoping that I had lost some, but I'm at a plateau. I know I have to just get back on track, since I haven't been eating that great lately to lose. It's just hard when you don't have a car and can't get to the store. I guess breaking down and calling a cab home is going to be cheaper than the $21 that I spent on Chinese food yesterday. It's just that also I don't have the energy to cook, and Geo doesn't know what to do with chicken breasts. He loves the way I cook them, even though it's just cut them up, stir fry them (no oil) and then add them to something (mixed veggies, mac and cheese, green bean casserole). It's pretty easy, but when I have no energy it's too much. Plus with Geo not being able to stand so long it's hard for him to stir fry. Today we had it with soy sauce, Asian veggies and rice. It was good to have the energy to cook.

Sorry to have missed commenting on your journals the last day or so but DS was being cranky!
Glad to read that your mood is improving. I love how walking can release the stress and anger. I always seems to find some calm and peace on a walk. Take care with the heat outside - be sure to carrry some water with you. HUGS!
Thanks for the nice comment on my picture.
