Negative & Positive (In that order)
I seem to be spinning in a wrong direction lately & for me that's odd cause I've always got such good control over most facets of my life.
I know healthwise ever since I spent that day out in the heat at the beginning of Aug it's just not been the same but I would think that would be long past by now, wouldn't it???????
As alot may know I've been going for monthly reflexology & reiki treatments ever since I got out of the hospital (almost 4+ yrs ago) when my lupus 1st went wild & crazy & I know that it played a gigantic part in how extremely well I've always done. Now I've gone for almost 2 months without because my practioner seems to have vanished. He never showed up for my Aug appt which is really odd for him & the clinic he works at were going to call him & I've heard nothing. I called a 2nd time & left a message & no call to date. So I'm thinking I need to bite the bullet & call them & find out one way or the other whats happened.
But on a positive note (I refuse to settle for anything else) I had an appt today with a new reflexologist. She is very knowledgeable & well practiced. She was able to pick out a super sore area on my right foot which she said controlled the immune system & lumphatic drainage. She said it appears that my body is trying to fight something. I wonder if that can relate to hubby's cold which he's now getting over & which I'm trying not to get. My left foot told her that I've had some digestive issues (heartburn a bit off & on) which she was right abt. So she said that I might need more then 1 treatment a month just for a couple months to get me back in balance. So I'm seeing her in 2 wks again.
I've also been wondering if diet has been coming into play. I don't know if others do but I find that sometimes I don't stay focused on what I'm cooking, eating, snacking on or maybe am preparing things the fast & easy way which with lupus might not be a wise idea. DARN IT ALL, I really need to get a diet book relating to Lupus. Michelle my friend if you're reading this I thought you had given me a name quite some time back but for the life of me I can't find it. For my supper today I did focus my plate on 90% veggies & one very small piece of meat whiich was a chicken sausage. I do so love veggies & beans & such but have to get creative with cooking them.
Well I think I've whined enough for now. I have to admit it sure did feel good to let this out. I always try to be able to be the strong support avail for all my friends here & please don't let this prevent you from turning to me whenever you need me cause I'm still here for all of you, whenever. My shoulders are pretty strong.
