Neediness
I have been observing my feelings of "neediness' a lot lately. I am having some expectations of others to full-fill me when I know it is NOT their job. In looking at and observing what I am doing, I am working on embracing my neediness and asking what I need to do about it. In my meditation this morning, I realized my 'neediness' was more of a habit I still cling to; kinda like smoking was before I quit. After the meditation, something (God, Spirit, Universe, call it what you want) brought to my attention the ALL the things in my house than have been given to me by friends and family. I stopped counting at 47 items. Angels, sayings, coffee cups, pillows, pictures, candles, candle holders, dishes, books, crafts, and so many more.
I received flowers, texts, phone calls, etc. today. I really do believe it's time to break this habit.
I too, as Rosie, am grateful I have finally begun to love myself. I still have work to do, but I am grateful challenging situations show up as it is an opportunity to be "broken wide open" so I can love more deeply.
Happy Valentine's Day to my very special friends who have been such a gift!
