Needed to go somewhere where no family or friends could see my post.

I lost my son,April 9th,2007.This year marked 7 years. It feels like yesterday to me.I saw my son laying in the hospital. He looked so peaceful and calm.I was hoping he would open his beautiful blues and say hey Ma.But I knew better.I touch his arm and he still felt warm and I kissed his forehead and told I loved him with all my heart.I had to leave because my husband daughter and son where in the waiting room. I wanted to sit with my son all night I didn't want him to be alone.I felt so bad that he was alone. And little did I know that my son's next adventure was the medical examer's office which didn't make me feel any better. It took a week to get him back.It was the worse week of my life besides losing my son.I had to be the rock for the family,I grieved when I was alone.I had to put the game face on and muster up all my strenght. When we finally had our son at the funeral home.I never in a million years thought I would have to make so many decisions.
My son was killed in a street racing accident...he was the passengar and took 90% of the accident. The driver walked away with no inguries and few scratches.

Hi, and welcome. I am so sorry that you lost your son. I lost my son to cancer over 8 years ago. You can come here and find what you need with no judging. We have all had the same feelings of despair and loss and not knowing if we can go on. I see you are from North Carolina. My husband\'s family is from West Jefferson, North Carolina. Hoping for you some peace. Nell, Jeff\'s Mom from Georgia

i know just what you mean- my husband is better at \"suffering\" than I am. But he is kind so I put up with it. Of course, skin of our skin and bone of our bone, our loss is so much greater. You\'re in the right place. Abby

Just wanted to say I\'m sorry about your son. I too will look forward to hearing more about him as you can. I hope you will find comfort writing in your journal and sharing your memories of precious moments with your sons. My daughter died 10/30/2006. I still fight hard not to give way to the sadness and I know I always will... Its part of my normal now... Another part of my normal is that I allow myself to recall the memories of Cara... I write as I want to and I\'m not asking for permission from anyone... Its what I need to remember that I\'m more grateful Cara lived than heartbroken that she died. Hugs Elissa

I can understand you wanting a place to come where you can post what you want without getting unfair feedback. Here at For Moms Only you can feel free to post whatever you need to. That\'s actually part of healing.... letting feelings out. I hope you receive the support here that you need.
Hugs.....Vicki ( Jeremy & Chad\'s mom )

You have found a healing haven where anything and everything can be expressed.

I have a sense that much has been bottled up because you did not feel safe to share it and FMO is just that safe place where the language of grief, loss and one day finding hope in the midst is a universal language we all are able to share.

So very sorry about your beloved son, Mike, and you have gained many Soths (sisters of the heart) here.

Hand in hand and Heart to heart,
XO Joanie

I am so sorry for the loss of your son, I too lost my 18 year old son Ryan April 15th 2006, 8 yrs ago.. It does feel like yesterday.. It was Easter weekend the year he died.. This year Easter was on April 20th Ryan\'s funeral day..My heart goes out to you as well as all the moms here.. My heart breaks seeing a new mom having to go through what we already have. This is the only place we can come to and vent on how we feel, Thank God for that! XO
