Needed info.
O.K. guys and guyesess, Normally I do not work on this journal till the weekend but one of you, you know who you are, asked me too. There are some things all of you should know as I have been misunderstood on several things. When I awoke from the anneurysm I did not know exactly where I was, or when I was... lollol When I fell ill I lived in Fort Worth Texas. I owned my own home and was well thought of in the community having been a successful business owner for seven years and as a coach for the Blue Raider association and others for several years. When I first became somewhat aware of my surroundings I thought I was in Fort Worth. I wasn't. I thought it was 1995 or thereabouts. It was closer to 1998. My wife bought in my children, I was not married to this woman and was not the father of her children. I was in a town 150 miles away from Fort Worth. The doctors explained that it was reasonable that I would not know my wife or children because of all the brain damage I had sustained. They explained that after a 79 day coma it was not unusual to be very confused as to date and people. For the first year I thought I was in a very bad dream. Instead of my nice house I was homeless and staying with my (fake) inlaws. My father assured me upon my questioning him that this was indeed my wife and kids. I asked to see a psychologist to get my reasoning back to working normal. I saw this profesional for a couple of years. By then I was back in college studying to get my psychology degree so I did not mind seeing her as therapy for psychologists is normal. We started at my earliest memory and took the whole trip through my life. She was a fruedian so most of her thinking followed Freud's theories. I journaled dailly for her and saw her for two hours each week. So this is not the first time that I have journaled most of my story, it is the second, which is why the telling of it bores me. In order to validate what I have lived through I tell my story so that others can gain from it. I "feel" very little as I now tell it. The first telling of it I unconsciously slipped into the third person. This is not uncommon among people whose childhood was so nasty that their minds dissasociate. I dissasociated many times throught out my childhood. Has my life been "normal"? I think not. My mother was crazy and a drug addict. My father was an achoholic and treated me as if I were a lab rat undergoing some very nasty experiments. What surprises me is that I came out of these experiences so 'normal". I attribute it to my grandparents who basically raised me as far as teaching me my morals and values. So please be patient with me as I will continue telling it and try to tell it is such a way that it is understandable, as wll as it can be. E
