Need some help my friends.
Hello friends.....well, my wonderful son's 1 year mark is coming up this month on July 30th. I already told everyone that I'm not going to be doing anything that weekend because I really feel the need to just be alone and grieve on that date. I do a lot of avoiding still so I feel that this is "right" for me. I need to just be with Johnny Ray and think about him and not avoid it for a weekend.
What do you all think?

I think if that\'s what you need, and you honor that, that is all that matters. There is no \"right\" or \"wrong\" way to do this!!! I would suggest having a \"plan B\" in the way of a friend you can call IF needed that day who can rush over and be with you.....but other than that, I\'d plan the day as I needed, doing or not doing whatever it was I thought I could handle.
Sometimes being alone with Kala is my BEST times!!! Even crying and snotting all over myself! If this is what you need to do, DO IT!
LOVE YOU!!
whatever feels right for you is what you do.... you honor your son anyway you want...love ya!
You do what is most comfortable for you...only you knows how you feel and what is right to do for you. I wish you and easy day on your precious child\'s first anniversary of his angel day. xoxoxo Connie
What matters is what you think... Do what is in your heart and allow yourself lots of wiggle room. Just as Teri said there are no right or wrong ways to navigate this tender day.
BE with Johnny Ray in the way that feels comforting for you.
My thoughts are with you during these heartfelt days.
Love and hugs,
XO Joanie
Honoring your feelings is a positive step forward in healing. I have only come to know this myself, 5 years into the loss of my sons, which is now allowing me to begin healing. I am inspired that you are already honoring your feelings. Sometimes being alone offers what we need. If for you, that is during this 1 year anniversary, you will know it. You will still have all of our arms holding you close because we understand, we care. Loving hugs.....Vicki
Do what you feel is right for you. If that is spending the day alone and grieving, then that is what you need. If you feel otherwise such as planting a tree, do that. You have to do what you feel is right, not what other people think you should be doing. I know sometimes my kids think I should do thing in a certain way, and when I sway from my idea to theirs, I seem to run into problems.
Hugs to you
Do what you feel like doing and don\'t feel guilty if you not do anything..Guilt is a hugh part of grieving, so don\'t ever feel bad for doing what you want.. From my own experience I\'ve had a bad problem with guilt and it nearly killed me...Love to you sweetie, Kelly
You do what feels right for you and your child! If you want to be alone that is what you should do! It is your special time to get through this. Some people have their ideas but this is your time to honor your child.
Xoxoxo........Joan
Giving yourself the time you need honors your child and allows you continue moving forward in your journey. We never will be over this as others say but our new normal can have some peace. I wish this for you. Kathy
You do what is best for you!!! That\'s all that matters!
Love and Hugs
