Need some Get-A-Way time

I have had so many funerals already this year.  Now have have friends dying of cancer.  I need to get away for a while when the weather straightens up.  I need to get on my Harley and take a trip.  I tried to take a trip last year to Virginia.  I got as far as the Kentucky line and my Harley started acting up and I had to turn around and start back towards home.  It quit about 50 miles from home.  I put it in the shop to find out what was wrong. The next day, my friend died and I was called to have prayer with him 10 minutes before he passed away.  The shop could not find anything wrong with my Harley.  I changed the coil, plug wires and plugs and it have not missed a lick since.
I guess the Lord wanted me here for my friend instead of being off somewhere else last year.  I would like to try again this year but, I it appears I will not have the finances to do so.  Last year, I planned on being gone about 10 days.  Maybe I can squeeze in 2 or 3 days this year.  I don't know.  I guess I will have to wait and see.  I have income taxes coming due, property taxes coming due and, I am not sure what these are going to cost me.
When I am out, on my Harley, my mind is at peace.  I love the open road and I haven't been on a long road trip since 1969.  If I don't go now, while I feel like it, I am going to get too old to go.  I guess it's the old biker in me that has the lure of the open road, still in me.  55 years of riding motorcycles is a lot of years, a lot of miles and a lot of memories.  I would like to add a few more memories before I take my final ride.
I feel I should but, my wife is totally against me going anywhere. Am I wrong in wanting to do this?

You are so NOT wrong in wanting to do this! I think it would be so therapeutic for you to get on that Harley and ride! You need some peace. This year has been very challenging for you.

I hope your wife realizes how good this would be for you. Just you, your bike and the open road. It would be so freeing, which is what you need now more than anything.

I hope you get to go. I\'m keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I think it\'s a right and much needed thing to do for yourself. I hope you take your Harley and go where ever you find relaxing and peaceful. I hope your wife finds it in her heart to understand this is something you need for yourself.
This will be a wonderful thing to give you much peace.
