Need some Get-A-Way time

I have had so many funerals already this year.  Now have have friends dying of cancer.  I need to get away for a while when the weather straightens up.  I need to get on my Harley and take a trip.  I tried to take a trip last year to Virginia.  I got as far as the Kentucky line and my Harley started acting up and I had to turn around and start back towards home.  It quit about 50 miles from home.  I put it in the shop to find out what was wrong. The next day, my friend died and I was called to have prayer with him 10 minutes before he passed away.  The shop could not find anything wrong with my Harley.  I changed the coil, plug wires and plugs and it have not missed a lick since.
I guess the Lord wanted me here for my friend instead of being off somewhere else last year.  I would like to try again this year but, I it appears I will not have the finances to do so.  Last year, I planned on being gone about 10 days.  Maybe I can squeeze in 2 or 3 days this year.  I don't know.  I guess I will have to wait and see.  I have income taxes coming due, property taxes coming due and, I am not sure what these are going to cost me.
When I am out, on my Harley, my mind is at peace.  I love the open road and I haven't been on a long road trip since 1969.  If I don't go now, while I feel like it, I am going to get too old to go.  I guess it's the old biker in me that has the lure of the open road, still in me.  55 years of riding motorcycles is a lot of years, a lot of miles and a lot of memories.  I would like to add a few more memories before I take my final ride.
I feel I should but, my wife is totally against me going anywhere. Am I wrong in wanting to do this?
