Need opinion

Hi I've never been a recruiter before. But I've applied for flight attendant and remote work at home jobs I'm wondering if my LinkedIn is good enough to pivot into one of the two roles what do you think? https://www.linkedin.com/in/crystal-cleaver-8b576b79

I did a quick look at your link. I have some suggestions. Your LI profile is not worded well enough to allow someone to see you in the roles. you mentioned. So here are some ideas for you. I used to help people re-do their resumes as a volunteer. I sent you a connection thing on LI so you can see how I did my page even though I can't really work any longer.

Right now, your LI is better than most but it makes someone work too hard to fit you into either a flight attendant role or admin job. Your wording seems very low level responsibility and you want to up it a few notches. Promote yourself more. Use action verbs, it is all pretty passive verbs. What things did you achieve at each job? Right now you list tasks not take charge things or accomplishments.

First of all, google search the "key words" for the flight attendant job and the work at home admin type jobs. Write down these key words. Use some of them in the job descriptions you have done in the past if you can flex these in without lying. Look at a typical flight attendant job and see what the job descriptions are. Use that same language.

Get rid of how it says stage hand under your name. No, no, no. Limits you to that kind of job. Consider saying "customer service professional" because both admin jobs and flight attendant jobs are customer service in some way.

Key words are absolutely essential because the computers are set up to read the resume or application and deny anyone who doesn't match a certain number of key words. The computer algorithm will spit you out and you will end up in the deny pile. The hiring manage won't even see your application. That is why I want to encourage you to do more homework and get the wording changed to show the things you accomplished on each job or the way you helped the employer's bottom line (financially). I once had a job working for the county and wrote this on that job description: "Organized outreach project that increased client contacts by 30%." Someone else might have said "Participated in an outreach program", which is passive and doesn't show leadership ability like the first one.

Make this more interesting as they say we get 10 seconds to catch someone's attention. If I was hiring flight attendants or admins work from home, I would not see you as a good candidate because you don't show me how your past jobs bleed into either of those two jobs. This is how I came up with customer service professional but think outside the box. I would read your resume as taking me too long to figure out your ability to do my job if I was a hiring manager for either of those two career fields.

So, key words from the job descriptions you are trying to apply to. Write them down on a piece of paper. Google the definitions if you need to. See if you can change your current wording to match more closely those key words. Remove stage hand under your name, put something more professional. If you are aiming to do computer type work at home, this needs to be promoted on LI that you have these skills. Employers tend to want already trained although lately they have been more willing in low paid jobs to train.

Okay I condensed the profile and included key words. I think the accomplishments are in there however I didn't include hard numbers. Just things like High volume phone calls.
