Need for Power and Its Effects on Relationships

As I'm reading here in the forums, power is great in that it drives us to succeed, to accomplish something, but, when it interferes with love, it is not good.  Trying to tone down my need to feel powerful and replace it with the need to love and be loved, and making great strides.  Unfortunately, I'm still seeing, in OTHERS, THEIR need to feel powerful, and I'm picking up on it, and getting annoyed.  It's all so trifling, confusing, exhausting...just want to get off this gravy train and just sleep all the time...

maybe it is not the need to be powerful but the need to be strong?

Thanks, Aronia. Yes! And is that such a bad thing?
