Need A Shoulder To Lean On
How to start - my hubby went for his yrly physical. They've been monitoring his prostate for a few yrs now & it's been controlled with meds. When he got home this morning he said the doc told him his prostate is enlarged again & not being comfortable with the number wants him to see the specialist for it. He gets regular checks by a specialist but our GP wants him to get a special extra check. Plus he wants him to see a surgeon as there was a bit of blood in the stool sample. Not sure what direction he's heading in with seeing a surgeon but oh well.
Right away of course my mind is spinning into panic & I can't stop it. Will that TIME in life finally be happening to us.
I know I need to turn this over to the Lord & stay strong & focused but if anyone has any ideas how I get a grip on this & not let my imagination run away please feel free to let me know.

hugs. just remember... the Lord is bigger than all the tests and physical conditions and anxiety and problems in the world. (good advice for me too)
my father is a survivor of prostate cancer. they told him the same things. enlarged, numbers a bit high and so on . turned out that they treated and cured his, but also told him that his wife was more likely to kill him than that cancer -- LOL. he would have most likely died of old age before that cancer got the better of him. so, hopefully your hubby will have the same experience if it even is cancer. maybe it\'s not even that.
and as far as the blood goes. my doc that did my scope (what are they called) said that blood in the sample doesn\'t always mean much because that can mean so many things (such as something as simple as a hemmorhoid or a benign cyst that was passed naturally) so, that may mean absolutely nothing.
hang in there and pray. an elder at my church said she prays this: \"God, thank you and praise you for the solution that you already have worked out for this.\" Wow, what a concept. hugs my friend.
Oh dear, I want to help you so please give me a while to look for the right words for you. All I can say right now is first of all calm down, remember Jesus is in contol of everything. Call on His name when you get frightened. I know it helps cause that is what I do when I am scared or worried I just call on Him, go into that deep place only you and God have and cry out to Him, he knows you need him and here is a healing prayer for you.I know I sent it to not to long ago but I will go find it and resend it to you. There are so many times I can not breath and i am over heating cause I am not getting enough oxygen to my organs, I say this little prayer and it helps me. I hope it will help some one else who needs it.
