need a break
As much as I don't want T-Man to go....there are times I cannot wait until he's being taken care of elsewhere. I still keep going back to the idea of sending him to a place my husband and I looked at last fall for T. T is destined to go the state-run 90 treatment center that I've heard is either so-so or worse than so-so. It's free. But is it effective? I know I'm told it's up to the individual as to whether or not they want to get better no matter where they are... but....if the place doesn't have a good outcome then.....what IS the point? Husband is determined to send him to the free place. I want us to visit it before we shipped T there. Husband thinks the only reason I want T to go the one we'd have to pay for is because of the amenities - indoor/outdoor pools, huge weight room, climbing rope course, bowling alley, horse stables, gym, ....etc. Sure those are wonderful but that isn't it .... the environment....the nurturing atmosphere..... AND they're affiliated with a school system - meaning he would get credits toward a high school diploma. But these are pipe dreams. This place is very expensive. Most of the residents who attend this place are on court order and attend for free. Years ago our county used to send juveniles there....too expensive...... **Oh .......and T refuses to do the on-line school. PO told me not to worry about it - since he's going to treatment soon, anyway. Whenever THAT is.........
