NCIVF update

So things aren't looking that great this cycle, I don't know what the F**k is going on! CD 3 was Aug 2nd had u/s and blood work. I returned CD7 (8/6) for u/s & blood work which is when they told me my FSH was up again so they upped my synthroid meds to 75mcg. I was told to come on CD10 (aug 9th) all follicles were under 10mm. I returned CD 12 (aug11) and still no growth, they told me to come back today CD14 (aug13) and STILL nothing! My nurse just called me and told me my estrogen levels were low (55) and my progesterone was high (22). I have to return Friday and I am praying that they grow a lot by then, if not it could mean I'm not going to ovulate this month. Which has never happened to me before! I mean come on, Gary and I have enough odds against us lets not keep packing 'em on! I can't believe my body is being a little bitch right now. So aggravating and I just hope something changes for the better by Friday.

On another note, I am dog sitting a friends foster dog. I am loving it! I love animals and I'm so shocked Gary and I don't have a pet already but she is growing on us already and it's only been about 36hrs since we've had her. My building isn't pet friendly, but my mother also owns the building so I'm working on her. I mean if I have to use tears and infertility as a way to make her say yes I am not to proud to go there. She is a very well behaved dog, housebroken, no barking, no whining, good cuddlier, sleeps in her own bed at night. We will see what happens, I feel like I need something to take care of (other than my husband, of course LOL) Thanks for listening to me vent ladies! Love you!

hehe that\'s why we got pets to begin with. I was so discouraged trying that we got our great dane as our fill in child. Then I was so upset at needing a lap that less than a week after Josh brought home another puppy! told me it could be my \"baby\" to pamper for awhile. So now I have 2 children lol. Plus it\'s your mom. She should DEF let you keep her! Tell her your mother instinct kicked in and you need something to care for ;-) She\'ll HAVE to say yes!!

So sorry your body is being a bitch. Isn\'t that how it works? Are they willing to let you try next cycle if this one is a bust? I sure hope so, there\'s no way this could happen twice. Thinking of you and fingers crossed things start turning around!

I\'m so sorry things aren\'t looking good. I\'m hoping your hormones get in sync and you ovulate. Did they adjust your meds at all? Fingers crossed that things start to look up.

As for the dog, if you can convince your mom, I say keep her!!!! I couldn\'t have made it through IF without mine. They give such comfort and love. Plus (I\'m going to sound crazy here) I always talk to mine and tell him everything so he was a great help in me letting out my IF angst without having to tell humans that could say stupid things. Let us know what happens

My dog is one of the things that brings me the most pleasure in this world. She is always ready for a smooch, hug and high five (yes, I taught her to do these). As we go through difficult times in life, I swear our beloved animals know when we need them.
Keep the pup and you\'ll find solace, regardless of the outcome. Prayers coming your way.

I really hope your body starts cooperating this cycle...WTF. Frustrating!!! I hope you can keep the pup. Sounds like perfect timing for a pet :)
Praying that everything works out for the best. XOXO

Amy I completely agree. My dog, Tempe, has really kept me sane... from the daily long walks helping me get exercise when I didn\'t want to do anything to my daily \"hugs\" from her, I wouldn\'t be handling any of this without her (and I guess DH, but he isn\'t nearly as happy to see me as the dog!)

I\'m sorry your follicles aren\'t growing, seriously what the hell?

I hope things turn around by Friday for you! Keep the dog! Mine are my babies and like the others have said, I wouldn\'t have made it through without them! They always want to snuggle and I almost look forward to my husband traveling for work because that means they are bak up on the bed with me! (Ok I said almost!) :) They know when I am sad or crying to just put their head in my lap or cuddle harder. I thought that was funny, to use to IF card, go for it!

KTK - Thank you for the extra prayers!! It really is perfect timing right now!

Kelly0713 - today has been the perfect kind of weather too to be cuddled up on the couch!

Pickle (he he) - This pup really likes to walk too, I\'m like well, I can use the exercise too! Thanks, little fuckers better grow by Friday!

Orriginal - Thank you and You are too funny lol!! I think I\'m going to use the card, I haven\'t used it once, I will use it for a cuddle buddy!

So frustrating! I hope things change by Friday! So for the study, you are on zero meds, correct? Then do you have to ovulate on your own for them to do a retrieval? Will they let you try to do the study a second cycle if this one does not work?

Fingers crossed for Fridays improvement!

I\'m so sorry ? Are you doing a natursl cycle. If tbat\'s the case only one needs to start growing and I\'m sure it will happen. I know with mine once it\'s started the were growing within a couple of days. I was also lucky enough to get two. I\'ll be thiking of you.

@LMWT only meds will be the trigger shot, If they have to cancel this cycle they will allow me to try again next month so at least there will still be hope next month.

@RoxyD Yes, natural cycle. That\'s good to know once your follies decided to grow there were ready fairly quickly. I was really hoping for 2 but not I\'ll just take one lol. I will find out more Friday, we shall see.

That is awesome you can try again if they do cancel this month! But hopefully those follies get their act together for this cycle!

Hoping that those follies grow!! That must be frustrating, they are just taking their dear old time!

Honestly, this might sound cheesy, but other than my DH and mom, my dog has also been there for me!! My dog is a snuggler and thinks he is a lap dog (at 50 lbs) and the most affectionate guy. There are days where Louie (my dog) can just make me feel so much better. DH is a good consoler, but sometimes he\'s like - should I go get Louie? YES. My dog just cuddles up next to me and lets me cry and doesn\'t try to say anything stupid (thank goodness - hah). I\'m such a dog mom. LOL.
