Nature is LIFE

I finally had a most excellent day yesterday, Sat Jun 23rd.  Went to an Audubon Sanctuary with my friend Jackie and walked to the beach/dunes, forest/pond nature watching.  We're both avid birders and I got 2 life birds on my list!!  A Willet in the marshes and a Golden Warbler in the pond.  SOOO exciting!!
I felt ALIVE for the first time in years.  I feel most happy when in nature.  And with a name like Robbin, I guess it was inevitable that I love birds, aye?  Then I was able to work on my porch plants (I'm really late this year) for a few hours.  Of course, the price is I'm barely able to walk today but I'll pay it if some days I can LIVE.
Happy and thinking of the next time I can get out in nature.  :)

Sounds wonderful..it is truly a blessing when you can get out and enjoy the thing that bring you such pleasure. Enjoy, hope you took lots of pictures. To bad we can\'t capture the smell of the breeze blowing off the ocean, so we can open it and bring back all the wonderful smells we love so much..
Hope you have another fun day soon.

Yeah! I wish I had taken my camera. I tried my \'new\' (a few years old) binoculars that take a picture of whatever you\'re looking at but haven\'t downloaded them yet. Hope some came out! And yes, I LOVE the smell of the ocean. It\'s weird that I live on Cape Cod and almost never get to the beach! I live in the most land surrounded part of the cape too - like 20-30 minutes away from beaches and we have only 1 car. My hubby works 7 days a week and with my poor health, it\'s a blessing to go at all! Take care and sending you ocean breezes. Nibs
