nasty suprize

so I'll flash to the night of the 10th.  Went to bed at 11:30 awoke at 1:30 not being able to see anything out of my rt eye!  Went on internet, mistake, called the advise nurse who told me to book it to the hospital right then.  Got there about 2 stayed till 4am; they thought maybe a optical migraine since the er doc saw no blood or anything. 10 am went to opthalmologist and was told there is blood behind my eye, went to the retinologist at 3pm to have dye tests and find out whats going on.  I think it would have been a better test if I hadn't passed totally out toward the end of the test ended up with me being laid on the floor and being non responsive for a couple of minutes.  They sent me home and got a call to come back in to talk to the doctor to discuss the result, went back in had another dye test-which went well.  I think the main reason I passed out the first test was I was only working on and hour and a half sleep by the time I got into the retinologist the 1st time.  Bottom line was he told me I had macular aneursym that has detached the retina. My next step is going back Tues to see if it has any improvement, if not I go in for surgery after which I have to be face down 20 hours a day for a week. It "may" save the sight in the rt eye!   Not allowed any medication till a week after surgery, it will be my 3rd wk with no mtx and at least 3 weeks, I can already feel the crap coming back into my fingers and elbow.  Does shit sandwitch describe my mood right now, YES. Sorry to spew, but sometimes ya just gotta spew. Trish
