Nascar
Saturday and I am sitting here all alone. Even the grandkids are gone. I am at a loss at where to go to meet new people. I have tried church and meeting on on line dating sites. I am plain and no one responds. Maybe I don't understand how they work but I have tried responding to some that seem compatible but nothing back. I am too ugly for even the desperate. I even asked the kids to watch the race tonight with me but they had better things to do. Why does it bother me so much now? Before I was content with my life, maybe not happy but content. So NASCAR and loneliness will be my Saturday. Sherman and I used to watch the races and make bets and enjoy it. I love my family but they have drained all the life out of me and left just a shell, an ugly shell.

try meetup.com which is a less formal way to meet with people...they sponsor events in your area you choose your interests like singles or floor replacement or model airplanes or whatever, then when events are scheduled you get invited to join...sometimes there is $1 or so fee to go to some events and others are free free did I say free?

I am in several singles groups in St. Louis and went to one so far...friend did game night at her house....she had about 19people there...was fun...met someone working toward clicking with....hugs bill
I am also in night owls anonymous and small business groups...

Okay, so again, this journal sounds a lot like depression talking, well some of it anyways. I hate to see the comments about you are too ugly for even the desperate, that is sad. So many of your feelings are hard to cope with, and I won\'t give the remark, I hope things get better. Basically, lost for words, but realize one thing, we all age, none of us excluded and I mean none of can escape the age clock. So give yourself a little bit of credit here. Well, I guess I better not comment too much because I have to practice what I preach.
Loneliness is hard to handle, finding somebody to do things with is a challenge. Church is nice, but a person needs a partner to do things with.
Your feelings are real, they are yours, and I have said this before Jan, to others, a heart big as gold attracts people too, and you have that.
I don\'t allow people to define who I am any longer. I don\'t fall for red flags anymore, and one thing I have learned is to not put yourself down, it makes ya feel worse. You are smart, you hold down a good job and validate the good things in yourself, and don\'t let anybody make you feel any less. Hugs to you!
