Nachos

In 1947, there was an Air Force Base on the Texas/Mexico border.  Three women, whoes husbands were stationed at the base, wanted to do some shopping in Mexico that day.  That afternoon, they were a little hungry after the day of shopping.  They stoped into a restaurant/cantina and the chef their told them that he did not have much because it was a dinner restaurant and he had not started anything yet.  All he had was some tortillas.  He fried them up and served them with a cheddar cheese sauce.  In 1962, he got a job at the Texas Astros Stadium in the consetion business and we have had his invention at sporting events ever since.  His name was Nacio, or Nacho.
