Mystified
As long as I can remember I have always been creative or had some suggestive thought or advice to give which at the end of high school when they test you to see what you would be good for in your career world, It's no doubt I scored high in the psychology area.
My Dream though was to become an Officer in Blue, yep a Policeman. Right after high school I joined the Army Nat'l Guard and when finished with Basic training and AIT schooling I returned home and started taking Police education courses, while working full time at Kentucky Fried Chicken.
I met my ex during that time and we were in love. She had issues living with her parents so we came up with a plan that I would rent an apartment for her and she could move out. One night while at work I received a phone call from her saying that her parents know and that I should come over.
Just like you see on TV her Dad and her were on the front porch waiting for me, haha. We all sat down, the four of us, we talked and some how it was decided for me that we were to get married in 6 months. I have only known her for 6 months to date. PHEW!!!
Anyway, in order for me to get promoted to SGT. in the army I had to go to Officers training (redundancy I know). The day, the very same day I got back, I got a call from KFC asking where I was, ultimately I ended up quitting, to focus more on the Police career. Which after the ring was put on 4/7/1990 she said she does not want me to pursue the Police profession because of how much danger there is and we had so many arguments about this how it was my dream, she even had her mom come over and get involved-ughhhh!
S, back to the creative part f me. We had our first son, Joey. I did everything for him, plaed forts, built tree house, taught him how to use tools, Then Halloween would come along and I would really shine. The first year I fabricated A batmobile out of cardboard, and his wagon. Painted it black with the flames out the back, the door swung open, hood scoop--perfect. If you ask he will tell you that is why he is such a batman fanatic today. Knows everything about Batman and all the villains and games so on.
One Year when Buzz light year was popular I again went to work. Did you see the suits in the stores? Pathetic. I Of course used Cardboard again with foam padding. Painted to match exact.
One Year was Darth Vader. This was made with plastic. Heated and bent. A little too heavy so I had to carry it. Haha.
so you can kind of see right from the beginning I had passion, drive and knew that if I could see it I could do it.
Now it's still the same but I don't get the return or I don't want to say instant gratification but just some type of a response letting me know that I am appreciated for who I am and not just being taken advantage of. This applies to everyone that surrounds me, all my family, all my friend (no S). They say don't take it personally but if the same person does it more than one time yeah I am going to take it personally.
Breath fresh in.......Exhale out all bad.

You sound like a heroic dad. A great dad. I haven\'t known you long but I can see the devotion and drive. It\'s important people know their value. I\'m taken advantage of a lot in my relationship and it stinks. So true, there is only so much one person can take and then we have to walk away. Take care of yourself. I want to write some more but I\'m very tired tonight & ready to go to bed. I will return to this!!!
Wow!! Thats awesome that you made those things!! Seriously wow!!
just a idea could you put your skills in a local theater company? Iam sure they could use your skills! Or even model making? My brother does that kinda stuff.
