The pediatrician does believe it was an allergic reaction and that the next round is likely to be worse. Still, accurately identifying an allergy isn't as justy as a wish. She and the dentist are collaborating to get some clues. Lidocaine is the prime suspect, but nobody wants to jump to conclusions.
For now, the immediate crisis is over and no one believes there is cause to panic. Onward through the fog. She goes back to school tomorrow. Just hoping. . .
As a puffer, I have found ice immediately helps. Poor baby. Hugs and prayers for all.
Been plying as much ice as she will tolerate. The swelling is down dramatically, but the skin was quite damaged from the stretching. Can one get labium stretch marks? So or no, she is now the proud owner of her very own chapstick. Now to get her to use it.
:( poor little dinker...hoping the ice will help and Praying the Doc's find the allergic reaction medication.
