My Wonderful Reflexologist
I had my regular reflexology/reiki appointment today. It's the 2nd time I've seen this new practioner & I really think he's going to be good for me.
He's a certified counsellor also so at 1st we'll sit & talk maybe abt how I'm feeling in general & any & all issues that I feel I might have. We were talking abt the pain issues I've been having & the other related items that go along with this.
He helped me to realize that in order to beat that aspect of my condition I've got to accept it & acknowledge it & not be so hard on myself & beat myself up so much abt it. It's strange it's something I never really even took note of. I'm always the one going on abt positive, positive, positive & needing & wanting to be the upbeat shoulder for everyone around me, especially my DS friends who are so very important to my wellbeing. He feels that I can empower myself more to take better control of me. He gave me alot to digest and think abt overall.
After thoroughly discussing how I've been feeling the reflexology today was centered mainly on my lymphatic system. He did more intense reiki to refocus & balance my energies. He also upped the crystal bowl attunement part to regroup me so to speak.
I've had a lot of people that have said "maybe you need to check in with your rheumy". I think we all know that then along would come all kinds of drugs again. I don't have too many that understand I want to do this naturally if at all possible. Rather then once a month I'm upping my appts with my reflexologist to 3 times a month. It might just take a couple more visits or one or two after that but hey can't blame a person for wanting to take their own control I would think.
We did this really neat meditation to help me with pain times. First thing in the a.m. & then again at bedtime he said to take a few moments of deep breathing & concentrate on a bubble or cocoon around me, to really feel the security of it being around me, to really feel there's nothing that can bother me & to focus on this to help repel any pain issues.
Well I just wanted to give anyone who reads my journals some positive food for a change.
Love you all dearly.

I really like this sweetie. I\'ve often wondered about reflexology and exactly what they do. I\'ve had very limited experience with it, but am looking for something natural to help me to cope with my residual symptoms. How did you find yours? I admire you for taking control of your own treatment! Way to go!
That is wonderful. = ) I think I know the bubble meditation you are talking about. Does it include blowing the pain out with the breath at all? Just curious. That might be a different set than the bubble set. I am glad you like him. I think doing more of that and less drugs is always a good idea with one BUT stuck in there, lol. Sometimes we do have to accept our condition might be part of our DNA and though we can make leaps and bounds with our diet and exercise and treatments, sometimes we can\'t get there 100%, so if you do find you need medications please don\'t beat yourself up about it. I truly hope you don\'t, but either way, it will be OK. I think it\'s admirable that you are doing everything you can do ... most people don\'t bother to do anything but pop pills. I think you are so very positive, but maybe you are like me in that you are really most HARD on yourself haha. You are lovely just the way you are!
I am thrilled for you and anything that will help you handle your pain and free you from it. I wish I could be drug free but with my CODP don\'t think it is possible.I also admire you for doing this.Yes you are to hard on yourself. yes you are lovely just the way you are. I love you dearly. And I am still praying for you. May God guide you as you go through all this...
Interesting. When my boy was in baghdad my counselor had me do a bubble around him and it really helped my fear and anxiety.
I\'m going to try this meditation.
Be well my friend
