My War Room

Today, I gathered my supplies for my 'war room'.  I gathered my Bible, a devotional Book, a journal, a Clipboard with paper, pencil and tape.  I took a comfy quilt along with me.  I knew all I really needed was an earnest heart for God would supply all else.  I closed the door.  I then prayed earnestly for God's guidance and refused the negativity of sin to be in my heart, in this room, in my Home. I opened my devotion book to 'where it fell' and it was uplifting by reminding me how God supplies all our needs. I then opened my Bible to where it 'fell' and it was Romans Chapter 8.  I was overwhelmed by the scripture and how it applied to each need, each prayer, each fear, and all that Mothers of Estranged Children go through. I don't know how long I was there, but it wasn't long enough. I yearn for more and more than a war room - it is my haven with Him. While I had good expectations of this time with Him, I received much  more than I could have imagined.  I prayed for each Mother.  I prayed for my Family and my own Heart. I prayed I not be blind to all the Gifts He has given by grieving for what I do not have for "now we see only dimly'.  I will read this chapter again when I return as it held so much. This small step has created great change.
