My vows

It's been almost one year and I'm finally coming to terms with infertility.  I've been on an emotional rollercoaster, and have had more down days than up, but I can finally try to face this.  I put some thoughts down....  My Infertility Vows   I will NOT blame God. God did not judge me unworthy to be a mother, nor does he hate me or want me to be unhappy.  Whatever plan God has for my life, it’s still up to me to execute that plan.  I will use the tools, science, medicine, and knowledge that are available.   I will not blame myself I do not need to feel guilty about infertility.  I am not infertile because of anything that I did, or anything I did not do.  This did not happen because I am unworthy or unfit for parenthood.  There are simply things in this life I can not control, and I must accept this.  But I can ask for help, guidance, and the strength to face it.   I will forgive everyone. There are family, friends, and others close to me who don’t understand what infertility really is, or I am going through.  They do not intend to hurt my feelings.  So I will not cry when a nurse simply asks for information, nor will I get mad at a friend for saying something ignorant.   I will face this with dignity and aplomb. I will try to be strong and courageous, both for myself and for what I need to face as I travel down this path.  I am strong, and I am not alone in this.
