My Thirteenth Grandchild Arrived Last Night !
At 8:09 pm EST ~ My grandson arrived in perfect condition all of 8lbs, 11 oz - 21" long. My son became a father for the first time along with his fiance, a mother for the first time also ! ( He is my youngest son ! )
Because of the baby's size, mommy required surgery after the delivery, she had some tearing to be dealt with! I am going to go to see the baby tomorow. My son was going nuts because the only charger for his cell phone is the one in his car as they had the wrong charger for it. His phone was dead before the baby was born!
I had been so worried as he had told me that the obstetrician was inducing her on Wednesday evening. I told him that sounded a bit unusual to do it at night. I was right they stated the drip at 10am the next morning. So the poor dear was in labor for hours.
He said the car was frozen shut and he had to crawl into the car through the hatch. He is running the car engine as he can't get back out again until the doors unfreeze. it was five degrees last night.
He said he is calling me as soon a he could because "his life is listed in the cell phone". He doesn't know phone numbers by heart any more since the phone remembers them for him. (Boy - who can't identify with that? )
Anyways this is our third boy in the grandchildren realm of things. He joins 10 girl cousins - Oh yeh - He'll be spoiled!

Hi, NDY, I rec\'d a message in my email box that you completed a goal, and it suggested that I come by to congratulate you!! I\'m not sure if it\'s the art project, or if your son became a daddy... But, either way, congrats!!

have a great time visiting. luvya, xxoo
Wow, you are an amazing person. I have one grandson, Quentin, age 7. He will be 8 in February. My only daughter had rough delivery. She chose to have a mid-wife. I told her not to do that. go to a dr. for the first one. No one can predict what will happen. I had to get ugly with the mid-wife after my daughter suffered through 3 or 4 epiduerals. One of them she had to do over due to some incompetent person. Anyway, she was in labor for at least 12 hours which seemed like an eternity to me. I kneeled outside her door. Her fiancee was there too and my late husband. I prayed to God that she would deliver this baby vaginally. After shift change, a nurse was shocked to see my daughter had not delivered yet. The mid-wife was still saying she would deliver the baby. I lost it! I told her that either she was going to deliver that baby now or get on the phone and get a doctor in there to do it. She did call the doctor and they did an emergency C-section. But she told me she was highly qualified, which I did not dispute, but enough needless pain was enough. My son-in-law had never heard me raise my voice and he told me he did not think I was capable of doing such a thing. It ended up working out fine. She delivered on 2-22-04 my wonderful grandson. I have two other grand children by my husband\'s daughter, Natalie who just turned nine and Ansleigh age 3. My daughter-in-law and I are not on very good terms because when I left to stay with family in Michigan grieving, her and her husband were busy fraudulently getting $4000 out out my late husband\'s and my checking account. Also, $500 on a credit card. This started one week after his death. I found out when I had to go to the bank when I had to get things taken care of because he didn\'t have a will. Anyway, I got got a good blessing and miracle placed upon me
about three weeks ago. I am on ss disability due to chronic pain from these conditions. One is extremely rare (pudendal neuralgia) and vulvodynia. I also have a skin disorder that affects my genitals. I took a trip to a vulvar disease clinic ( hate that term, not an std) and found out I had a case of lichen schelorsis. My ob/gyn had diagnosed it previously but it was not bad enough to treat. I am going to an appt to be screened for a sacral nerve stimulator, which I do not need now. I haven\'t been able to sit any length of time without excruciating pain to moderate pain. Anyway, I am here today to say god give me a miracle. Hope to hear from you. You are such an inspiration. Debbie
Congratulations, Gradma! I hope everyone is doing just fine! So much to deal with besides the actual birth. God bless all of you!
Lots of peace and love to you and yours,
Franciann
What a blessing!! Really think she will be spoilt or taught to be a real tomboy? If mum wants it or not. But know Grandma will love her as she does the rest. Wonderful news, and so glad both are well.
Blessings to you, and the new mother and father, and the healthy baby boy. Brrrr. Hard to imagine those nasty cold temps. Everybody keep warm!
