My Story: Endo, Blocked Tubes, Uterine Polyps
I stopped birth control back in 2004/2005 and was TTC for 1 year after no luck I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility. I stopped TTC as i had split from my fiancee. Over the next 4 years I went to several Doctor's all telling me the same thing: "We can't treat your infertility if you're not actively trying to conceive. I was NTNP, but knew that there was something wrong, something that needed to be found.
In 2010 I was in the military and since I had the healthcare I decided to start the journey again to find out what was wrong. I was married and hoping to start a family soon. I found a Dr and pretty much demanded a laprascopy. He tried to tell me I was young, and that I didn't have any issues even though he had done absolutely no diagnostic testing on me. He finally conceded, and I had a lap, chromatubation, D&C and hysteroscopy done.
Diagnosis: Endometriosis grade 2, right fallopian blocked (not repaired), and endometrial (uterine polyps). He said it was impossible for an egg to implant because of the polyps. The endo was scraped and polyps removed. I did three month of Lupron Depot for the Endo and was given a clean bill of health, "definitely would be able to conceive."
I continued NTNP, in 2013 I went through another round Lupron Depot "for good measure."
NTNP until July 2015 i've decided to TTC again. I've done clomid 100mg CD3-7, U/S showed 3 follies, 2 on rt (blocked side) and 1 on left. Continued to do trigger on CD 12 evening. I'm using a donor and did insemination on the evening of CD 13. Should have O'd on CD 14. Cycle was a bust, as AF showed up.
As I'm preparing for another Clomid cycle, I'm feeling a bit discouraged as I'm sure plenty of people do. My biggest concern is that the polyps have returned, but I'm finding very little information on how probable that is. Since I'm living in Thailand I'm paying for everything out of pocket, so diagnostic testing can get real expensive real fast.
Also, because I'm living in Thailand there are strict laws on artificial insemination processes. You have to be married and show a marriage certificate to have an IUI or IVF. I am a single woman, so that sucks.
I want to adopt here in Thailand, but you have to be 30...Ill be 29 this year. Also single women can only adopt disabled children. While "disabled" is a very broad term used here in Thailand, it's frustrating :/
