My Sister

I'd like to talk for a moment about the solidarity I share with my older sister.

We just spoke for a few hours about everything from opposite ends of the country and we laughed and talked and then we cried so hard.

That was probably the first time we both blatantly admitted that we felt like our mum and dad must question where they went wrong because of us. We've both experienced things outside the norm for a happy child, we've both had awful experiences in life, and our poor parents have to watch us struggle now and wonder why they couldn't stop it.We know it's not their fault, but they probably have a hard time acknowledging that.If it wasn't for the solidarity I share with my sister about this, I know I'd probably run.

I love her, I miss her and I need her more than ever.
