A CAT'S HALLOWEEN
It was a cat's HalloweenThe best I've ever seenThey came from coast to coastThe guests included ghostsThe mice were not hor d'oeuvresJust there to help them serve The dancing was much funUnder stars instead of sunThe cats and ghosts and miceThey played together niceLet's take our cue from themAnd be friends with all men
MAX, THE BLACK CAT
There once was a black cat named Max.In manners he was very lax.He made children screamwhen on Halloweenhe jumped out from under a fax.He tugged at the sheets of a ghost.He was not a very good host.He made the clown cryand the witch yelled "Oh my!"as he sharpened his claws on a post.The candy he tossed to the floor. And ran when they knocked on the door.He did not want out,but he did make them shout.especially the kids under four.The kids left with all of their loot.To scold Max the point was just moot.Cuz he jumped in my lap,took a ten minute nap,and I told him "good thing you're so cute!"

Thank you ladies. LOL! The second poem of mine was accepted and published in the 2014 edition of Write to Meow. I really do have a cat named Max and he really is a handful but oh so very cute :) The first poem I just entered in a beading contest. You post a virtual jewelry design and write a story or poem to go along with it. Others readers vote though, and friends vote for friends so I aint doing so well, LOL! But I DID win that particular contest years ago with one of my designs- the employees of that particular beading company choose the winners that year. But it\'s all good. I like entering contests where I have to be creative. It makes me dig deep, ya know?
