My sick dog Sophie

I just feel so sick to my stomach, extremely anxious and depressed.
I had to take Sophie back to the vet today to see how her leg is; well it’s not healing right. Her kneecap keeps popping out and he said she is a stage 3 of the Luxating Patella. There are 5 stages; stage 3 is she may need surgery. She is continuing the anti-inflammatory for 3 weeks and has had a new medication added for the three weeks and then she goes back for another checkup and I believe at that time it will be the decision for surgery.
She cost $275 today and thank gawd my mom could put it on her Visa. My mom is very angry about all of this because she thinks we should be putting her down rather than put out all this money I don’t have. Sophie has now cost me over $500 in the last few weeks. Money I don’t have and I now owe to my mother. She is pissed too that she thinks I’ll never get her paid back, and I won’t be able to give her any this month because Sophie has to go back and who knows how much that will cost.
I just feel so sad and am crying. Why did I end up with a puppy that got a lame leg and it’s not correcting itself. It’s not her fault and I never in a million years would have her put down for something like this.
I just feel so lost, sad, depressed, scared and lonely.

Luxating Patella Grade III: ``The kneecap dislocates on a regular basis, whenever the joint is flexed and extended. Dislocation is manually decreased when the joint is extended. This is considered to be severe enough to warrant surgery.``

Maybe put up on your profile so others can see it..What breeds again is she? Maybe the rescue clubs for those breeds might want to read her story. You can call them and see..

Hi Mystie, My moms puppy has had a serious problem with itching and scratching and she has taken the puppy, I call him a puppy for size, and not much has been done. I know you love your special friend and I remember when our family has had to deal with painful problems for our animals when I was younger, I have no answers, but I am your friend and I can only tell you this. Lots of Stuffie Hugs for you and a some affection for your furry friend, I know both of you need to know your cared about.

I had a dog that was the best friend I have ever had in my entire life. He was like my son! His name was Skipper Dee. Skipper was half Springer Spanial...half Border Collie. Big guy, about 80 pounds. I rescued him form running wown the middle of a busy street, took him home nothing but a little bundle of fur at this point. We placed adds in the paper to see if someone had lost their puppy. No one ever answered this was in 1993. I had to have him put down in 2008. Skip was bleeding so bad from his rear end and no way to stop it. He would have blead to death if I hadn\'t had him put down. It was awful.I stayed with him while the Vet gave him the drugs that would put him to sleep forever. I held his head in my arms until he was gone. I miss him so terribly much!!! I have a lump in my throat as I write this; trying to hold back the tears. I have his ashes! I so hope you can get Sophie taken care of!!!

I just made a donation to Sophie\'s med expenses from your link. I know it\'s not a lot, but every little bit will help.

I would go without stuff for myself for my dog and my cats. I\'m going to send out some healing energy your way via my angels. When you love your dog, that love comes back to you. It may not seem like it now, but it comes back. No brag, just fact. The angels are on the way with the energy.
